Dear/Chers Parents and Community:
We hope you are having a wonderful weekend! It's was the 1st official day of Fall on Thursday, but we hope that we can have a few more days of warmth and sunshine before we have to break out our rain boots! That being said, please make sure that your child is prepared for the weather, especially when they go outside for recess and lunch. Today was our first Professional Day, and the staff at South Park had an enriching day of learning together. We discussed the importance of authentic, quality assessment methods, and got busy learning a fun water color art lesson that we can now teach your child!
This Wednesday, we have our first PAC meeting at 7pm in the school library. ALL parents are welcome, as you are ALL on the PAC! We hope to see you there.
On Thursday afternoon, we have our official Cops for Cancer kick off campaign! It is a worthy event that is very dear to our hearts. For more information, please check out http://www.news1130.com/2016/09/21/cops-for-cancer-begin-their-ride/
Friday is our Orange Shirt Day! Students and staff are encouraged to wear an orange shirt to school to help bring awareness to the experience of survivors of residential schools, honour them and show a collective commitment to ensure that every child matters. For more information, please click on http://www.orangeshirtday.org/
Have a wonderful week, everyone!
