Grade 7 Activities and Events leading up to the end of the school year

From Vanessa Cybulski (Grade 7 Grad Coordinator)  &  Mr. Reel and Mrs. Tee

We would like to take this opportunity to give you an outline of the events planned for our Grade 7 students this year as well as offer an update on the endeavours undertaken thus far.

We hosted a lovely social earlier this year for Grade 7 parents that gave many of us an opportunity to voice the direction and help steer the events for our students this coming  year. We discussed fundraising to help mitigate the cost and also touched on legacy gift ideas. For any Grade 7 parents that have not yet sent their email address to me directly, I encourage you to do so!
It gives you an opportunity to help facilitate and contribute to the events ahead. And there are many opportunities to volunteer in both big and small ways.  vanessacybulski@gmail.com

We hosted our very first fundraiser of the year at the school’s Math Night event which was a great success! So great to see the community gather once again. The kids ran a concession and raised funds for the Year End Grade 7 Activities and Events.
We most recently ran a Movie night after school before the break that was well attended and also a great success. Thanks again to those parents that volunteered as well as Mr. Manuel for the helping hands.

Beginning in May we will host Freezie Fridays and alongside the PAC will go on to host more movie nights.

There will be many events to help make this year as fun as engaging as possible for our Grade 7 students who are enjoying their last year of elementary school. We have booked a day for the Grade 7’s at Wildplay Adventure Park in Maple Ridge. We have also booked a great day of Canoeing and other activities at Deas Island. There will be other class field trips organized by classroom teachers. A special Grade 7 luncheon will be held and of course our Grade 7 Leaving Ceremony will take place at the end of the school year. There will be lots of memorable events for our Grade 7 students this year!

Thank you to our administrators Mr Reel and Mrs Tee for taking the initiative and creating those opportunities for memorable experiences for our kids. They have been a wonderful support.

Stepping into the new year, we will fine tune a few legacy gift ideas that ultimately will be passed along to our 2024 grads for them to decide what they would like to leave their beloved school behind. We have our yearbook committee working towards putting a memorable yearbook together for year’s end.

Oh, and a reminder that at our local recycling depot is taking bottle donations. Simply give them the school phone number and it will go to a great cause!

Sincerely,

Vanessa Cybulski (Grade 7 Grad Coordinator)  &  Mr. Reel and Mrs. Tee
